popularisation
For a few years now, the Asia and Pacific Museum has been carrying out popularisation activities associated with spreading the knowledge about the history of writing and writing traditions in the Asian continent. They include cyclical events such as evening lectures, workshops for organised groups or displays at open-air events (e.g. at the National Picnic). Our work in that respect culminated in 2019 with the opening of ‘Nonephemeral words. Writing in the world cultures’ temporary exhibition and the publication of the accompanying catalogue. Moreover, as part of “Digitization of manuscripts and printed books from the the Asia and Pacific Museum’s collection” project we designed training for students of higher education institutions and PhD candidates “The School of Manuscripts” and a cycle of workshops for families with children “Asian Manuscripts”.
